our business plan

2024-2028

The Town Council’s Business Plan sets out what we will focus on during the next four years. As with any organisation, it is vital that we outline our plan as it provides a clear picture as to what the Council is aiming to achieve and how, including our vision, objectives and key initiatives.

At the heart of our Business Plan is a focus on working with local people and organisations to make Harpenden an even better place to live, work and visit. To achieve this we work towards our Strategic Objectives which are to:

  • Improve the Health and Wellbeing of the community.
  • Promote the economic and commercial vitality of small businesses, including the High Street, Southdown and other retail hubs.
  • Lead the way in creating an environmentally friendly town.
  • Run an effective and efficient Town Council, delivering high quality and value for money services.

Each of these objectives includes a set of initiatives that will help us to deliver our plans. The Business Plan is an in-depth document which can be found here: Harpenden Town Council Business Plan 2024-2028.
