Harpenden Town Council takes a proactive approach to managing trees which includes regular health and safety surveys and remedial works. Following recently commissioned surveys we sought further advice from specialist arboriculturists regarding two oak trees in Lydekker Park. Cllr Beth Fisher, Town Mayor of Harpenden for 2025/26, has chosen her two nominated charities for her Mayoral year: The Hertfordshire Domestic Abuse Helpline (HDAH) and The King’s Pantry Foodbank, which reflect her theme of ‘Helping People Through Tough Times’.
