Financial advice and funding


There are a number of organisations in Harpenden which are offering advice and funding for Ukrainian individuals and families in Harpenden and the surrounding area. Please contact them using the links below.

Harpenden Money Advice Centre Harpenden Money Advice Centre is available to provide free advice and guidance on money matters including the completion of appropriate applications and benefits.

The Harpenden Trust offers help with school uniforms, school meals, mobile phone sim cards, lap tops for adults who need them to apply for jobs, benefits or for work, and other financial assistance. Additionally they organise occassional day trips.

Mobile phones Vodafone and Three are currently providing free sim cards to a limited number of people. Vodafone SIM cards are free for six months with unlimited calls and text and 20Gb data per month. SIM cards are available for over 18s (maximum of 2 per family). The Harpenden Trust can help you to obtain a sim card. Please call into the office at 90 Southdown Road or telephone 01582 460457 between 10.00 -12.00 on weekdays. 

James Marshall Foundation helps young people who are in education or starting their career and under 25 years old, living
in: Harpenden, Wheathampstead, Kimpton, Redbourn, Flamstead and Markyate. They are happy to discuss assistance with any related
item/activity connected to education/career for example:
• School uniform,
• 6th Form or College clothing
• Computers and printers (Year 3 upwards)
• Activities: sport, music, creative arts, etc
• Scouting/Guiding/Duke of Edinburgh Award
• Residential school trips
• Study books or equipment/materials (Year 9 upwards)
• College/university/educational course costs
James Marshall Foundation promises a quick response time to
requests and 95% of applications are successful in securing
grant funding.
