Local Ukrainian Groups

Bethany Community Church hosts a Ukrainian Support Centre drop in every Monday from 10am to 12pm at The LX Centre at the High Street Methodist Church. This is a place to seek help and support, and also a great way to meet new people. There is a volunteer translator who is able to help interpret and the Support Centre often has representatives from other helpful organisations to help promote other opportunities locally. Free refreshments. Just turn up or email ukraine@bethanycc.org.uk if you would like more information.

The Harpenden Trust offers many social opportunities. If you would like further information please call into the office at 90 Southdown Road or telephone 01582 460457 between 10.00 -12.00 on weekdays. Their services include:

• Befriending services and social calls.
• Senior Coffee mornings - coffee and biscuits in a friendly environment for older residents on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
• Volunteering opportunities, helping at coffee mornings to practice speaking English.

Parish of Harpenden with St. Albans Diocese (Anglican Church) amongst other support, is able to help with chaperoning to local
services and ‘buddying’ at social events.
