Nicola Linacre – Mayor of Harpenden

I’ve been a Town Councillor for the past 13 years, and this is my third term as Town Mayor.  I’m looking forward to seeing the entries as I know there are so many talented and dynamic young people attending our schools and I can’t wait to see what they have come up with.

Ken Dailey

I started off in 1989 going to Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, where I undertook their Television Programme Operations course.  From there, I went to work at a company called Thames Television (the ITV broadcaster for the London region), where I worked mostly as a camera assistant / operator on a variety of studio and location programs.  When the UK visual effects industry started in the early 1990s, I made the jump to a company called Cinesite (http://www.cinesite.com), where I worked for around 17 years, progressing through the ranks to the role of VFX Producer.  I had a great time there, but in 2012, decided to move on, and secured a position as a Senior VFX Producer at Double Negative (http://www.dneg.com) where I stayed for around 5 years, before moving to my current position as an Executive Producer at Framestore (http://www.framestore.com).

Along the way I've worked on around 36 feature films - including a number of Bond movies, a couple of Marvel movies - including the recent 'Avengers : Endgame', and most recently a live action remake of Lady and The Tramp (available on Disney+) and currently a live action / toon version of Tom and Jerry for Warner Bros.

Lastly, here's the IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase) entry for me, which shows the projects I've worked on so far: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0197327/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
