Thinking Ahead
A conversation about future care because dying matters.
Most people want a “good death,” but what does that actually mean? If you’ve ever wondered how to plan for the future, support a loved one, or simply want to learn more, this free community event is for you.
‘Thinking ahead - a conversation about future care’ offers a safe space to understand your options, ask questions, and talk openly about death and dying - because it really does matter.
During the session, attendees will explore what a “good death” means from both a personal and practical perspective. Dr. Bethan Rees, Clinical Director from Harpenden Primary Care Network, and Dr. Sarah Klinger from Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care will talk through the benefits of key tools such as Advance Care Planning and the ReSPECT form, which help ensure that an individual’s preferences are known and respected. Staff from Rennie Grove Peace will be on hand to explain the support offered locally and to answer questions in a warm and reassuring setting.
At the event, you can:
• Reflect on your own future wishes or how to support a loved one
• Explore what a “good death” means
• Learn about Advance Care Planning and the ReSPECT form
• Find out what support is available from Rennie Grove Peace
• Chat with experts and ask questions
