On the 24th July, children and their families are cordially invited to experience the exciting new play area in Rothamsted Park. The event is not only a chance to enjoy the new equipment, but also join the fun with additional activities, entertainment and refreshments stalls organised for the day.

If you have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace; are required to isolate after travel; or because you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms (a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell), even if these symptoms are mild, you must not attend the event. You should also NOT ATTEND if anyone that you live with, have one or more of these symptoms and should follow the government guidance -

  • Track and Trace will be available at the event for those that wish to check in.

  • Attendees are welcome to wear face coverings if they wish to.

  • The event is expected to be busy and therefore marshals will operate a traffic light system at the play areas to show how busy they are.

Green – The play area is not too busy and it is ok to enter and enjoy.

Amber – The play are is becoming increasingly busy and we would advise to check the equipment that you would like to use and seeing if it is available before entering.

Red – The play area is very busy and you would be better returning to the area later on.

  • A number of additional activities and children’s entertainment on the stage will be available for when the play areas are busier.

  • There is a very large picnic area at the event where you will have plenty of space to sit at a distance if you would prefer to.

If you have any questions about the procedures in place, please do not hesitate to contact our Events Officer, Harriet Tamke on 01582 463668.
