End Time: 5:00 pm

Larks in the Parks, the Free Annual Community Event, marches back to its roots on Sunday 30th June 2019 as we embrace our Roman heritage and link with the Alban Fest during June. With Roman archaeology on our doorstep, Larkus in the Parkus will be at five sites around the district including a new venue, the Marlborough Club, where the Cottonmill and Sopwell hub (CaSH) will be hosting.

The five sites are:

  • Batford Springs, Marquis Lane, Harpenden, AL5 5AA
  • Fleetville Recreation Ground, Royal Road, off Hatfield Road, St Albans, AL1 4LQ
  • Victoria Playing Field, Folly Lane, St Albans, AL3 5JH
  • Caledon Community Centre, Caledon Road, London Colney, AL2 1PU
  • The Marlborough Club, Old Oak, off Cottonmill Lane, St Albans, AL1 2EF

Expect gladiators, juggling centurions, laurel leaf headdresses, archaeological treasure hunts, music and all things Latin! So dig out your toga, leave your chariots at home and join us from 12 midday to 5pm for a fabulous afternoon in your local Verulamium forum. No parking available - strap on your sandals and walk!
