Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to celebrate the nations armed forces and to say thank you to the armed forces community locally. This year’s event will be based on a Battle of the Proms theme.
As in previous year’s the event will start with a parade from Rothamsted Park at 11:30am to the War Memorial, where a short service will be held. Anyone wishing to take part in the parade should congregate Rothamsted Park from 11 am onwards and be ready to move off by 11.30 am. Please wear uniform/medals if appropriate.
Activities will start on the common at 12:30pm with performances by the Rock Choir, St George’s, Sir John Lawes and Roundwood Band and the Classical Chorus.
There will be cadet competitions throughout the day along with activities for members of the public to take part in.
There will be food and drink stalls.
