Week 47

Charity Race Night Raises over £2000 for the Town Mayor's Charities. | 20/11/2013

The Town Mayor, Councillor Rosemary Farmer, held a very successful Race Night at the Harpenden House Hotel on Friday 15 November. The event was well attended and there was a great atmosphere. The races created a great amount of amusement and competition between individuals and groups and the Town Mayor was delighted with the generosity of businesses and individuals in sponsorship and attendance.

The Harpenden UNA UN Flag Raising Ceremony | 30/10/2013

The Town Mayor, Councillor Rosemary Farmer, Honorary President of the Harpenden UNA, attended their UN flag raising ceremony at the Town Hall on Thursday 24th October 2013. The special event commemorated the 68th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations on the 24th October 1945.


Every year, the switching on of the Christmas lights heralds the countdown to Christmas, and this year is no exception! So whatever the weather we hope you will join in the fun on the afternoon of Sunday, 24th November 2013.

Harpenden Confers First Freedom of the Town | 16/09/2013

A Special Meeting of Harpenden Town Council took place on Thursday 12 September attended by The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, The Countess of Verulam, and other distinguished guests to confer the Freedom of the Town on The Royal Anglian Regiment.
