Great skills shown in the Town Mayor's Christmas Poster Competition | 02/12/2014

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, was impressed with the standard of entries in her Christmas Poster competition this year. There were some lovely designs and many of the children had thought carefully around the theme of 'Helping Your Neighbour' and incorporated the theme in their drawings.

Harpenden’s Christmas Carnival | 02/12/2014

Rain did not stop play at Harpenden’s Christmas Carnival this year! The doughty organisers made sure the event went ahead as planned. The Farmer’s Market, all the Charities and the Young Enterprise teams were there as planned and Xmas shoppers had a wide range of Xmas goodies and presents to choose from.

The Harpenden UNA UN Flag Raising Ceremony | 06/11/2014

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, Honorary President of the Harpenden UNA, attended their UN flag raising ceremony at the Town Hall on Friday 24th October 2014. The special event commemorated the 69th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations on the 24th October 1945.
