Town Mayor delighted to receive cheque from Waitrose for Charities | 13/02/2015

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, was delighted to meet Louise Laidler and Kerri Hodgson, Community Matters Coordinators, from Waitrose in Harpenden on Wednesday 11 February when they visited the Town Council to present cheques to the Town Mayor’s charities totalling £406.

A Bonny Night for Charity | 06/02/2015

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, held a fun Charity Burns Night at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club on Friday 23 January in aid of her nominated charities; Community Meeting Point and Home-Start.

Harpenden Town Council set zero increase in the 2015/16 budget for the 6th consecutive year. | 03/02/2015

Harpenden Town Council agreed its budget at a Council meeting on Monday 2 February where it was resolved to not increase the Council Tax for the sixth year in a row. Members were asked to approve a Band D Council Tax equivalent of £67.52, representing a zero increase on the existing level of Council Tax.

Town Mayor’s Charity Burns Night Fast Approaching | 13/01/2015

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, will be hosting a Burns Night in aid of her nominated charities; Community Meeting Point Harpenden and Home-Start St Albans City and District on Friday 23 January at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club. She looks forward to seeing some new faces at her event and to the continued support from the local community.
