A Vintage Afternoon Tea in Harpenden | 21/02/2012

The Tea had a 1940s theme and the food looked delightful set out on delicate vintage china, on crisp white tablecloths. The traditional tiered cake stands and the beautifully scented flower arrangements all added to the ambience of the afternoon.

Harpenden Town to take ownership of park, playing fields, nature reserve and community centre | 17/01/2012

Harpenden Town Council has hopefully presented a compelling case to St Albans District Council to hand back to the community ownership of Lydekker Park, playing fields at Westfield and Porters Hill, the Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve and the community facility, Park Hall. This will mean that whilst the Local Council has already been greatly involved in the management of most of these sites, previously through lease agreements, it will see the return of ownership of the assets back to the
