Harpenden Town Council’s Christmas Lights | 17/12/2014

After a disappointing start to the Christmas light display in Harpenden, progress has been made to make sure that the lights in the town centre are working reliably. Harpenden Town Council can only apologise and assure residents everything is being done to not only keep the lights on in the town centre but also achieve a seasonal appeal.

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, held a Charity Christmas Dinner at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club on Thursday 4 December in aid of her nominated charities; Community Meeting Point and HomeStart.

Great skills shown in the Town Mayor's Christmas Poster Competition | 02/12/2014

The Town Mayor, Councillor Mary Maynard, was impressed with the standard of entries in her Christmas Poster competition this year. There were some lovely designs and many of the children had thought carefully around the theme of 'Helping Your Neighbour' and incorporated the theme in their drawings.
