Harpenden Common wins tenth Green Flag Award | 22/07/2016

Harpenden Common has been named one of the best green spaces in Britain and awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award for the 10th year in a row. The Green Flag Award is a benchmark of excellence for recreational green areas that takes into account management standards, cleanliness, sustainability, accessibility and community involvement.

Town Mayor’s Quiz Night Raises over £800 for Charities. | 12/07/2016

The Harpenden Town Mayor, Councillor Mrs Nicola Linacre, held a Quiz Night on Friday 1st July which raised over £800 for her nominated charities; The Tyler Reader Brighter Future Fund and Youth Talk.

Harpenden welcomes its new Town Mayor and its New Town Clerk | 16/05/2016

The Annual Meeting of Harpenden Town Council and the Mayor-Making Ceremony took place on Monday 9 May. Councillor Mrs Nicola Linacre was delighted to be elected as the Town Mayor for 2016/17, having served as Deputy Town Mayor for 2015/16. Councillor David Heritage was elected as the Deputy Town Mayor for 2016/17.

Writing Competition Prize Giving | 03/05/2016

The Town Mayor, Councillor Brian Ellis, was delighted to present the prizes for a writing competition organised by The Grove Infant and Nursery School on Friday 22 April.
