Harpenden Photo Competition

The Harpenden Photo Competition is the new photography competition run by Harpenden Town Council.  The aim of the competition is to increase the cultural involvement of Harpenden Residents with the Town and to get a sense of how you see Harpenden, through your eyes.

The competition features six categories you can enter (listed below), with an additional best overall photograph selected from all of the entries we receive.

Each category winner will receive a £100 High Street Voucher and a framed printed copy of their winning photograph.

In addition to the above prizes, the winner of "Best Overall Photograph' will also receive a year's free membership to the Harpenden Photographic Society.

Entries are accepted until Friday 27 July 2018.

1. Best wildlife photograph - Photos of animals and insects in Batford Springs, on the Common, and other natural spots. Highlighting the fantastic green spaces we have.

2. Best seasonal photograph - We want to see Harpenden all through the year, with pictures that are indicative of the season they were captured.

3. Best young person's picture - Best picture taken by a young person between the ages of 5-16. These can be any pictures and don't require a specific focus.
