Harpenden in Bloom Competitions

HARPENDEN IN BLOOM COMPETITIONS 2019

The Town Council are running their Harpenden in Bloom competitions again this year, offering the chance for you to show off your gardening skills.

If you wish to enter, please click on the relevant competition title to download an application form or contact the Town Council for a copy by either ringing 01582 768278 or email harpenden.town.council@harpenden.gov.uk

Harpenden in Bloom Logo Competition

This competition is open to school age children aged between 4-11 years old. Why not try and design a new 2019 logo for the Town Council. The winning logo will be used on the Town Council website and promotional leaflets and posters, as well as the Harpenden in Bloom competition certificates.   Closing date: Friday 15 March 2019

Tallest Sunflower

Can you grow the tallest sunflower? Residents aged 11 years and under are welcome to enter this competition. Entries can be from private gardens, nurseries, or a school garden but must be in Harpenden.   Closing date: Friday 21 June 2019

 Multiheaded Sunflower

Why not try growing a sunflower with more than one flowerhead on it? Residents aged 11 years and under are welcome to enter this competition. Entries can be from private gardens, nurseries, or a school garden but must be in Harpenden.   Closing date: Friday 21 June 2019

 Best Communal Garden

If you share, have access to or help maintain a communal garden, why don’t you enter the Harpenden in Bloom Best Communal Garden competition. All entries from businesses or residences with shared gardens are welcome.   Closing date:   Friday 21 June 2019

 For allotment competitions, please contact your allotment society.

 

All winners of these competitions will receive a gift voucher and a certificate which will be presented by the Town Mayor at a Harpenden in Bloom prize giving event.
