Our Partnerships


We regularly work with amazing partners to offer further support to the Harpenden community. The following organisations recently came together at our Batford Community Connect event:

Citizens Advice St Albans District - a registered charity and member of the Citizens Advice Service, CASTAD can work with you to sort out any debt worries and help you claim the benefits you may be entitled to. They can help with housing and employment problems, deal with queries about consumer or tax issues and can advise on family and personal matters too. Find out more here.

Batford Springs Volunteers - providing support to Harpenden Town Council in the development and maintenance of the Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve. It is a diverse, friendly group which welcomes support and help from people of all ages and backgrounds - no previous experience required! Bethany Community Church - a vibrant, charismatic and diverse community group that has found purpose and fulfilment in following Jesus together. Find out more about their work in the community here.

Communities 1st - developing, connecting and supporting local voluntary and community organisations, helping to improve the quality of people's lives across the East of England. They provide support services for older people and those with vulnerabilities and facilitate various meetings and events around health and wellbeing within the community. Harpenden Child Contact Centre - providing supported contact between children and family members, suitable for families where no significant risks to the child or those around the child have been identified. More information can be found on their website here.

Harpenden Library - offering a warm space, free wifi, newspapers and various regular social groups and activities for both adults and children. Check out their website here for opening hours and timetables.

Harpenden Health PCN - a Primary Care Network comprising three high achieving GP practices in Harpenden. Delivering quality holistic primary healthcare whilst promoting the wellbeing of our community. Find out more about how they can help here.

Harpenden Mencap - a registered charity that provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities in Harpenden. Find out more here.

Harpenden Money Advice Centre - offering a completely free and confidential face to face, debt and budgeting advice service to those in and around Harpenden. More information about how they can help can be found here.

Harpenden Trust - support for individuals, families and young people in need, by way of the Care Fund, and financial support for community projects in Harpenden, via the Community Fund. Find out more on their website here.

Hertfordshire Family Centre Service - help from before your baby is born, right through to thinking about starting school. Whether you're coping fine or having a struggle, they offer plenty of help and advice. Further details can be found here.

Hertfordshire Police - local officers tackling crime, offering advice and appealing for information. Get in touch with them via this link.

James Marshall Foundation - supporting financially disadvantaged young people with grants for educational and career development purposes. Details of exactly how they can help are on their website here.

Nannies 4 Grannies - specialising in providing personalised care in the home including companionship, home help, meal preparation, shopping, activities and appointments. Find out more here.

St Albans Old People's Trust - a friendly local charity which helps, financially, people who cannot easily afford what they need. The Trust gives grants for free items and services to people aged 60 or over, living within St Albans District, who are in need, hardship or distress. The Green House - a community project that aims to promote sustainability, protect biodiversity and reduce the carbon footprint in the St Albans district. They offer a free eco library, hold events and advice sessions and have a monthly sewing repair cafe. More information is on their website here.

The King's Pantry - a shared project between Bethany Community Church and The Salvation Army with support from Harpenden Town Council and the Harpenden Trust. Providing support to families in need in the Harpenden area, each food parcel provided consists of a range of items including tinned and dried foods and household products.
