Harpenden is a picturesque and lively Hertfordshire town situated 5 miles north of the historic city of St Albans. With over 30,000 residents for which the Town Council provides essential community services, ‘the Village’ as it is referred to locally, has good transport links, an abundance of shopping, leisure and restaurant facilities and many green open spaces of which the Green Flag award winning Harpenden Common is the largest. Harpenden is also home to the world renowned Rothamsted Research centre where scientific research focuses on sustainable land management and its environmental impacts.

Harpenden Town Council exists to serve its community and is the first port of call for many queries and enquires about local government services. Our website provides information about such services, the town and local activities and will continue to evolve. HARPENDEN TOWN COLTS FOOTBALL CLUB RECEIVES AWARD
The Harpenden Town Colts Football Club were recognised at the Hertfordshire FA County Awards evening at Knebworth House on the 10 May 2010 by being awarded the Charter Standard Club of the Year Award season 2009-2010.
